Swift's interest in music began when she was a young age. From plays for children to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. Swift began writing music at the age of 11. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Swift got inspiration from musicians who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness she experienced by 13. Swift was only 13 when her parents decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm and move towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her time to reaching out to label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
